Personal Statement

I am an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medical College. As a general cardiologist, I treat a variety of cardiovascular conditions from hypertension and hyperlipidemia to coronary artery disease and arrhythmias. My clinical focus includes preventive cardiology and cardiometabolic disease. I strive to provide compassionate, individualized, and high quality patient care. My clinical practice is guided by the most up to date clinical evidence and bolstered by my collaboration with Weill Cornell cardiac surgeons and cardiac subspecialists.

Biographical Info

Dr. Chukuwma Onyebeke, MD completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and his residency in Internal Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Âé¶¹¸ßÇå. Before his post graduate training he received his M.D. from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to medical school Dr. Onyebeke received his B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale College. In addition to his outpatient practice, Dr. Onyebeke reads echocardiograms and provides inpatient care on the cardiac intensive care unit, cardiac step down unit and cardiology consult service at NewYork Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
