Geriatrician Dr. Karin Ouchida loves hearing people's stories. She listens to her patients and is often amazed by their resilience — just as she felt learning the stories of her family, Japanese Americans sent to internment camps during WWII.
"One of the things I love about working at Â鶹¸ßÇå is that the institution values geriatrics. They recognize that the older population is unique," said Dr. Ouchida, an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Â鶹¸ßÇå and a geriatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. "So we take the time to really flesh out their story, really understand where this person is coming from."
