What is Urogynecology?

Urogynecology is a subspecialty within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology focused on diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the female pelvic floor. This includes issues like urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic floor dysfunction.

 Because these conditions often occur after childbirth, especially in cases of vaginal delivery, we offer a dedicated Postpartum Pelvic Floor Health Program to support recovery. Other factors, such as heavy lifting, chronic coughing, severe constipation, and obesity, can also contribute to pelvic floor problems.
